Get your watch's steps & calories into Nutari.
Your smartwatch doesn't talk to Nutari directly — no app does. It feeds a hub on your phone, and Nutari reads from that hub. Once it's set up, your steps and active calories show up on your dashboard automatically. Here's the whole thing in about three minutes.
The four steps
Works the same whichever watch you have — only the app names change. See your exact watch below.
Pair your watch
Connect the watch to its own companion app, so it has somewhere to send its data.
Samsung → Galaxy Wearable · Fitbit → Fitbit app · Apple Watch → Watch appLet your watch app share to the hub
This is the step people miss. Open your watch's app and turn on sharing to the hub for Steps and Active calories.
Samsung Health → Settings → Health Connect → Allow allLet Nutari read the hub
In Nutari, scroll to the Activity card and tap it, then tap Open Health Connect — or tap Connect on the card the first time. Allow Steps, Active calories and Weight.
Nutari → Activity card → allow accessMove, then reopen Nutari
Wear the watch and walk for a couple of minutes. Give the hub a few minutes to sync, then reopen Nutari — your Activity card fills with active calories, and steps show in the detail view.
Walk → sync → Activity shows your numbersFind your watch
The exact taps for the most common watches. On Android the hub is Health Connect; on iPhone it's Apple Health.
Samsung Galaxy Watch
- Pair the watch in Galaxy Wearable.
- Open Samsung Health → ⋮ → Settings → Health Connect.
- Turn on Allow all (at least Steps & Active calories).
- In Nutari, open the Activity card → Open Health Connect → allow Nutari.
Fitbit
- Make sure your Fitbit is syncing in the Fitbit app.
- Open the Fitbit app → Health Connect → turn on sharing.
- In Nutari, open the Activity card → Open Health Connect → allow Nutari.
Apple Watch
- Your Apple Watch already writes to Apple Health — no extra step.
- Open Nutari, go to the Activity card and tap Connect.
- In the Apple Health sheet, allow Steps, Active Energy and Weight.
Garmin, Google Pixel & other watches
- Open that watch's app (Garmin Connect, Google Fit, etc.).
- Find its Health Connect (Android) or Apple Health (iPhone) setting and turn on sharing for Steps & Active calories.
- In Nutari, open the Activity card and allow access.
Detailed walkthrough
Every tap, for a Samsung Galaxy Watch on Android — the most common setup. Other watches follow the same shape with their own app.
⌚ Part A
Pair the watch
- Put your Galaxy Watch on and make sure Bluetooth is on.
- On your phone, open the Galaxy Wearable app (install it from Google Play if you don't have it).
- Tap your watch when it appears and follow the prompts to connect.
- Once paired, the watch's steps and activity start flowing into Samsung Health automatically.
📱 Part B
Set up Samsung Health
- Open the Samsung Health app.
- First time? Tap Start, sign in with your Samsung account, and accept the terms.
- In Settings, make sure Sync with Samsung Cloud is on so your watch data stays current.
🔗 Part C — the key step
Share Samsung Health to Health Connect
- In Samsung Health, tap the ⋮ menu (top-right) → Settings.
- Scroll to Connected apps and services → tap Health Connect.
- Health Connect opens. Under Your health apps, tap Samsung Health (or the + beside it).
- Turn on Allow all — or open Activity and switch on Steps and Active calories at least.
- Go back. Samsung Health now shows as connected (no “Not connected” label).
🍃 Part D
Let Nutari read Health Connect
- Open Nutari and go to the Home tab.
- Scroll to the ACTIVITY card in the Habits grid.
- Tap it. The first time, the card says Connect — tap it and the permission sheet appears. (Already connected? Tap Open Health Connect in the detail sheet.)
- Turn on Steps, Active calories burned and Weight, then tap Allow.
✅ Part E
Check it's working
- Put the watch on and walk for 2–3 minutes (or log a quick workout).
- Wait a few minutes — Samsung Health syncs to Health Connect on its own schedule, not instantly.
- Reopen Nutari. The ACTIVITY card now shows your active calories.
- Tap the card to see steps, your progress toward a 10,000-step goal, and calories in the detail view.
Still seeing a “—” on the Activity card?
That just means no fresh activity has synced yet — it isn't a problem with Nutari. Your watch app pushes to the hub on its own schedule, not instantly, and only sends data it has actually recorded. Put the watch on, walk for a couple of minutes, wait a few minutes for the sync, then reopen Nutari. The Activity card reads active calories, which fill once you've moved or logged a workout.
Your health data stays yours
Nutari only reads steps, active calories and weight — it never writes to your health data and never sells it. You can turn it off anytime: on Android, Health Connect → App permissions → Nutari → remove; on iPhone, Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.
